"You are the light of the world. A city built on a hill cannot be hid. No one after lighting a lamp puts it under the bushel basket, but on the lamp stand, and it gives light to all in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father in heaven." Matthew 5:14-16

"For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven" (Ecclesiastes 3:1).

Have you ever noticed how many ways we talk about time? We keep it, lose it, waste it, spend it, borrow it, even kill it. There is a right time and a wrong time. We are told to make time, take time, and still we ache for more time. We choose it, use it, or lose it. In Ecclesiastes 3:1-8, the word "time" occurs twenty-nine times, mostly to convey a series of comparisons and contrasts. There is a time to be born and a time to die, a time to weep and a time to laugh, a time to seek and a time to lose, and so on. There is a time for everything - good, bad, and all that is in between.
